Ukrainian drones strike bus carrying Belarusian children's soccer team in Russia
A bus carrying a children's soccer team from Belarus was hit by Ukrainian drones in Russia's Bryansk region, killing a female chaperone and injuring six others, including four children.
A bus carrying a children's soccer team from Belarus was struck by Ukrainian drones in the Bryansk region, according to acting regional governor Yegor Kovalchuk. The children were traveling from Gomel to the resort city of Gelendzhik, Kovalchuk wrote on Telegram.
A woman accompanying the team was killed and six people were injured, including four children. All the injured were taken to a hospital and received medical care. Russia's Health Ministry reported seven injured, with one child in serious condition.
The bus, a double-decker carrying 44 passengers—including 28 students from Youth Sports School No. 2 in the city of Rechitsa, Gomel region—was struck on the A240 highway in the Bryansk region. Russia's Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on charges of terrorism.
