Ukraine's drone forces chief: Russia at risk even beyond the Urals

Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine's drone forces and widely known by his call sign Madyar, told Estonian outlet Postimees that Ukraine possesses everything necessary to keep striking Russian territory with drones on a regular basis — including areas far beyond the Ural Mountains, the traditional dividing line between European and Asian Russia.

According to Brovdi, distance alone does not represent an obstacle to further strikes. He suggested that an attack on Vladivostok, a port city in Russia's Far East on the coast of the Sea of Japan, could happen before long.

Distance is not a barrier

Explaining his reasoning, the drone forces commander said that the fact a drone has already flown 2,500 kilometers does not mean there is some kind of concrete wall stretching all the way to Mars beyond that distance.

With this remark, Madyar underlined that Ukraine's drone capabilities keep expanding both technologically and operationally, making it possible to reach targets once considered practically out of range because of their distance from Ukrainian territory.
