Ukraine's General Staff: Russia lost 1,230 troops in past day

Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff reports Russia lost 1,230 soldiers over the past 24 hours. Since the invasion began in February 2022, Russia's total troop losses have reached nearly 1.48 million.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated figures on Russian military losses in the war against Ukraine. According to the data, Russia lost 1,230 soldiers over the past day.

From the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, through August 25 of this year, Russia's total personnel losses have reached approximately 1,479,300 troops.

Other military equipment

The General Staff also provided figures on other lost equipment. Since the war began, 25,220 armored combat vehicles have been destroyed or damaged (up by 9 from the previous day), along with 48,567 artillery systems (+48), 2,058 multiple rocket launcher systems (+2), and 1,587 air defense assets (+1).

Additionally, losses include 2,378 ground robotic systems (+10), 479,882 operational-tactical level drones (+1,555), 139,221 vehicles and fuel tankers (+448), and 4,582 units of special equipment (+7).

The Ukrainian side notes these figures are compiled by the General Staff and represent approximate cumulative Russian military losses since the start of the full-scale war.
