Ukrainian strikes kill six in Russia's Belgorod region, official says
Six people were killed and four injured overnight in Ukrainian missile strikes on Russia's Belgorod region, the region's acting governor reported.

Alexander Shuvaev, acting governor of Russia's Belgorod region, said on Monday morning that overnight missile strikes attributed to Ukraine had killed six people and injured four others. Among the injured was a 14-year-old child, who was taken to hospital, while two other victims received medical treatment at the scene.
According to Shuvaev, the strikes set a building on fire and damaged a car in the village of Koloskovo, located in the Valuysky district near the border with Ukraine.
Context
The overnight strikes followed what Russian officials described as Ukraine's largest attack of the year, launched the previous night, which killed at least seven people. That same night, Russian strikes on Ukraine also killed at least seven people and wounded more than 39.
In recent weeks Moscow has escalated missile attacks across Ukraine, while Kyiv has increased drone strikes deep inside Russian territory. Both sides in the war accuse each other of deliberately targeting civilians.
