Ukrainian refugees' integration needs: language learning, tax advice, and child care
According to a survey from the “Common Horizon” project, Ukrainian refugees prioritize Latvian language learning, consultations on taxes, healthcare and employment, as well as children's education and leisure activities.

The NGO “Eiropa: būt kopā” last year implemented the project “Common Horizon” with financial support from the Society Integration Foundation. At the project's conclusion, participants — Ukrainian refugees — filled out a questionnaire on necessary integration measures for the future.
Survey results show that the priority remains continuing Latvian language studies. Refugees also seek consultations on tax, healthcare and employment matters, particularly opportunities to work in their specialty and retraining. An important aspect is children's education and leisure activities.
