Germany Finances Purchase of 50,000 Strike Drones for Ukraine – Reuters
Germany has allocated €90 million to finance the purchase of 50,000 Ukrainian Shrike drones for Ukraine's defense forces, according to Reuters.

The German government has allocated €90 million to finance the purchase of 50,000 Ukrainian Shrike drones for the needs of the defense forces. This order, which has not been officially announced, is one of the largest drone procurement contracts for Ukraine by a Western government.
The contract covers the supply of Shrike FPV drones manufactured by major Ukrainian producer SkyFall and equipped with software from American defense technology company Auterion. These drones are designed for autonomous tracking and striking of moving targets in the final phase of flight.
Auterion CEO Lorenz Meier confirmed the size of the contract, noting that it is financed by a European country. According to the CEO, some of the drones have already been delivered to Ukraine, with the rest to be dispatched this year.
SkyFall confirmed Germany's involvement in the purchase but said the company cannot comment on the details of the contract. Ukraine's and Germany's Ministries of Defence declined to comment.
In June, it became known that the UK will supply Ukraine with 150,000 drones and more than 350 air defense missiles and radars by the end of the year. At the NATO summit in Ankara, US President Donald Trump said the US will purchase drones from Ukraine.
