Ukraine's Volyn region came under a massive drone attack on 12 September that lasted more than four hours, according to Roman Romaniuk, head of the regional military administration.

More than 10 hostile targets entered the region's airspace during an air raid alert. Most of the strikes targeted the Kovel community, where five people have been reported injured so far. All those affected received medical assistance, and there have been no fatalities.

Train hit in Lutsk

Debris from one of the drones struck a passenger train in the city of Lutsk. No casualties were reported there, as people had already been evacuated before the impact.

Romaniuk described the assault as prolonged and intense, underscoring the scale of the overnight and daytime bombardment across the region.
