Starting June 22, a new procedure cabinet will begin operations at Valka Polyclinic, replacing the former urgent medical care point which last operated in its previous format on June 19. Discussions between the National Health Service and SIA “Vidzemes slimnīca” on further service organization are ongoing, but the decision to establish the cabinet has been made.

The cabinet will provide only planned services with a family doctor’s referral: dressings, infusions, and CITO EKG. No doctor will be present; the daily work will be handled by nurses. Initially, the cabinet will be open three days a week: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 to 16:00. The schedule may be adjusted in the future based on patient demand.

Appointments are required, made by calling Vidzemes slimnīca’s registration at 80700040 (weekdays 8–17) or via the e-booking system. For sudden health issues, residents are advised to first call the Family Doctor Advisory Line at 66016001.

In life-threatening situations, call 113. If possible, patients can seek medical help at Valga Hospital in Estonia, preferably with a European Health Insurance Card. If necessary care is unavailable in Valga, the patient will be transferred to Vidzemes slimnīca.
