State and municipal institutions could stop paying bonuses for annual performance evaluations. This is set out in an informative report submitted to the government on problems identified in the public sector remuneration system and possible changes to it.

The report proposes keeping the option to pay employees cash awards at the same time. Such awards could amount to up to 50% of a monthly salary.

The proposal concerns pay arrangements in state and municipal institutions, where the annual performance review may currently be linked to bonus payments. The report is informative, and the changes it outlines are possible rather than already adopted.
