Mego stores run October promotion: buy two ice creams, get a third free

The Latvian retail chain Mego is running an ice cream promotion from 2 to 31 October: customers who buy two specific ice creams receive another one as a gift. A man shared the offer on the social network Threads, and other ice cream fans joined in with comments under his post.

What the offer includes

According to the in-store notice, buyers of two "POLS" ice creams — the cow-themed one and the chocolate one with banana sauce — can receive an "EKSELENCE" vanilla ice cream with maple syrup as a gift. The notice lists a price of 2.58 euros for the two "POLS" ice creams.

Shoppers' reactions

The man who noticed the promotion and posted about it online admitted that ice cream is one of the treats he finds hard to refuse. In the comments, other users described their own experiences with similar deals. One woman wrote that the previous evening she had found good prices on her favourite ice creams at the Maxima supermarket chain. One commenter said he uses this promotion on Saturday evenings when he feels he has earned it, while another said she already knows where to go again on Sunday. A further woman said Mego often has great ice cream deals and that she should therefore avoid visiting it.

Worth noting

The promotion runs until 31 October, and the quantity of goods may be limited. Shoppers are advised to check the terms of the offer at their specific store before buying.
