Youth Bicycle Orientation Adventure in Mazzalves Parish
The bicycle orientation event in Mazzalves Parish organized by the association "Ērberģietes" saw teams of youth searching for checkpoints with QR codes, discovering local sights, followed by relaxation and a disco.

On June 13, a youth bicycle orientation took place in Mazzalves Parish, organized by the association "Ērberģietes" as part of the project "Spēka dienas jauniešiem" (Strength Days for Youth). The project is funded by the European and Latvian Education Development Agency under the program "School in Community."
Several youth teams participated, using a mobile map to find checkpoints. Each checkpoint featured a QR code that, when scanned, revealed interesting facts and photos about the location. The weather cooperated—sunny after a rainy period—allowing participants to fully enjoy the adventure.
For safety, younger participants were accompanied by adults who helped with navigation and monitored traffic. All teams successfully found every checkpoint and received commemorative prizes created by artist Zanda Ragele.
After approximately two and a half hours of cycling, participants enjoyed burgers, drinks, and a campfire where they toasted marshmallows. The evening continued with a disco, where the youth danced and celebrated the start of summer. This event was the first of several project activities planned through December.
