Video: Young people crash BMW in Slāvu circle and flee on foot
In Riga, at the Slāvu roundabout, young people driving a BMW lost control, hit a curb and a light pole, then abandoned the car and walked away.

On Thursday, June 11, at 7:55 PM, an accident occurred at the Slāvu roundabout in Riga. The driver of a BMW lost control, left the roadway, hit a curb and a light pole, damaging them. The driver then left the scene, violating legal requirements, the State Police informed.
According to eyewitness video, which was recorded immediately after the crash, the BMW 320i was driven by young people. After the impact, they got out of the vehicle and simply walked away. The BMW was no longer drivable – its front left wheel was broken off.
The video suggests that the BMW entered the roundabout and may have attempted to drift. However, it drove over the central curb, crossed the grass, and struck a light pole. It then returned to the first lane but was unable to continue moving.
The State Police has initiated an administrative violation procedure and is investigating the circumstances of the accident, as well as searching for the driver.
