Artūrs Šiškovs, who works for Vivi and shares his daily experiences on the Threads platform, notes that every journey is unpredictable. Delays can be caused by damage to overhead contact lines, animals suddenly running onto the tracks, or the most tragic event – a person getting under the train.
Šiškovs was met before the start of his shift, two hours before he was scheduled to head to Sloka. He points out that there can be broken trees, animals from the forest, or people on the line. The past month has seen two incidents where individuals have ended up under a train, highlighting this grim reality.
The driver's job requires constant vigilance, as the consequences can be irreversible. As Šiškovs emphasizes, if someone gets under a train, it's all over. He urges everyone to be careful and not to disturb the driver, in order to prevent possible tragedies.
