Williams sisters receive Wimbledon doubles wildcard
Serena and Venus Williams have been awarded a wildcard for the Wimbledon women's doubles, while former British number one Dan Evans was denied a singles wildcard for what will be his final tournament.

Serena Williams and Venus Williams have received a wildcard for the Wimbledon women's doubles. Neither sister appears on the list of singles wildcards, although one spot remains unallocated.
Serena, 44, made her comeback at Queen's last week, four years after playing what many expected to be the final match of her career at the 2022 US Open. The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, whose tally includes seven Wimbledon titles, is currently playing doubles in Berlin with Karolina Muchova and will continue her comeback on the Grand Slam stage alongside Venus at the All England Club.
Former British number one Dan Evans has not been granted a wildcard for the men's singles main draw in what will be the final tournament of his career at age 36.
Wimbledon begins on Monday, 29 June.
