Man opens fire with rifle near military recruitment center in Khmelnytsky region
A 31-year-old man, intoxicated, fired several shots near a recruitment center in Letychiv, Khmelnytsky region. Arrested, weapon seized.
On the evening of June 17, near the Khmelnytsky district territorial center for recruitment and social support in the village of Letychiv, an incident occurred. According to preliminary investigation, a 31-year-old man, under the influence of alcohol, arrived at the facility with an automatic weapon that he had previously declared in accordance with the law. During a conflict with military personnel, he fired several shots towards the fence of the administrative building and then left the scene. Law enforcement officers quickly located and arrested the man. They seized the rifle, two magazines, and 55 rounds. Authorities are currently deciding on filing charges and requesting pre-trial detention.
