Vivatech 2026: Artificial Intelligence Rebuilding Business Models
At Europe's largest startup and innovation event Vivatech 2026, the focus is on AI's role in business and daily life. AWS Vice President Julia White unveiled the company's new AI shopping assistant and discussed AI's impact on jobs and women in leadership in Silicon Valley.

At this year's Vivatech, Europe's premier startup and innovation event held in 2026, the central question is what role artificial intelligence will play in business development and everyday life. Our business editor Kate Moody sat down with Julia White, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Amazon Web Services (AWS), to discuss these topics.
White introduced AWS's new AI-powered shopping assistant, designed to help users shop more efficiently. She also addressed which jobs AI can and cannot perform, noting that while AI can automate repetitive tasks, creativity and complex decision-making remain human domains.
The conversation turned to gender diversity in the tech industry, particularly in Silicon Valley. White advocated for bringing more women into leadership positions, emphasizing that diversity drives innovation and better business outcomes.
Vivatech 2026 comes at a time when AI technologies are rapidly evolving, and companies are seeking to integrate them into their business models. The event brings together thousands of participants from around the world to discuss the latest trends and future opportunities.
