Wired Tests Four Best Walking Pads for Small Spaces and Standing Desks
Wired reviewers evaluated several walking pads, highlighting four top models suitable for home offices and small spaces.

Wired magazine's testers have examined several under-desk treadmills, known as walking pads, to find the best options for people who want to stay active while working from home. In an article published in July 2026, they review four main models that stand out for different features.
The best overall pick is the Urevo CyberPad for Home, offering a 14% incline, easy setup, and a stable feel. Its maximum speed is 4 mph, and it weighs about 71 pounds. It has a Bluetooth remote and app that logs workout data. However, it is too tall to store under furniture.
In the foldable category, the WalkingPad C2 Foldable Walking Treadmill won. It is longer (57 inches) and suitable for taller people, with a sturdy feel but tricky setup and sometimes inconsistent app. Maximum speed is 3.7 mph, weight capacity 220 pounds.
The most versatile model is the Urevo Strol 2S Pro, which doubles as a treadmill with a lifting handrail. It has a top speed of 7.6 mph and incline up to 9%. It is relatively quiet, easy to set up, and the app is user-friendly.
The quietest model is the Flexispot Auto Incline Walking Treadmill, which can be set up in minutes. It has no app, but the remote offers preprogrammed workouts. Incline goes up to 12%, but it does not track steps. It is stable and quiet.
Other models mentioned include the NordicTrack Commercial 1750, Toputure TP6, and Urevo SpaceWalk 5L, but they did not make the top four.
