Žagars scores six points as Fenerbahçe loses first Turkish league final game
Latvian basketball player Artūrs Žagars scored six points on Saturday as his team Fenerbahçe lost 80:88 to Beşiktaş in the first game of the Turkish Basketball League finals.

Artūrs Žagars and Fenerbahçe suffered a defeat in the opening game of the Turkish Basketball Super League finals on Saturday. In a clash between two Istanbul clubs, Fenerbahçe hosted Beşiktaş but lost 80:88 (16:27, 26:16, 19:19, 19:26), trailing 0-1 in the best-of-five series.
Žagars played 10 minutes and 48 seconds, making 2 of 6 three-point attempts. He also committed two fouls and drew one foul. His efficiency rating was 2, and his plus/minus was -2.
For Fenerbahçe, Tarik Biberovic and Wade Baldwin led with 16 points each, Biberovic adding five rebounds and Baldwin six assists. Beşiktaş's top scorer was Berk Ugurlu with 20 points.
The second game of the series will take place on Monday, again at Fenerbahçe's home court. In the semifinals, Fenerbahçe defeated Anadolu Efes, which features Latvian player Rolands Šmits, 3-1.
