President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree removing Olha Stefanishyna from her post as Ukraine's ambassador to the United States.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed Olha Stefanishyna from her position as Ukraine's ambassador to the United States, according to a decree published on the president's official website.
Stefanishyna had served in the role for nearly a year. Zelenskyy appointed her as ambassador on 27 August 2025. Prior to that, she spent a month as the president's special envoy for developing cooperation with the US, after stepping down as deputy prime minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
In late July, Stefanishyna said that Zelenskyy had not asked her to resign.
