Zelensky arrives in Serbia for talks with Vučić and Macut

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Serbia for a two-day visit, where he will meet President Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Minister Đuro Macut. Talks are expected to cover economic ties, relations with the EU and security issues.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on the platform "X" that he has arrived in Serbia together with his delegation for what he described as important talks.

Over the course of today and tomorrow, Zelensky is scheduled to meet Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Minister Đuro Macut. According to Zelensky, the discussions will focus on expanding economic ties between the two countries, relations with the European Union, and other areas that could benefit both nations, alongside security matters.

Zelensky stressed that Ukraine remains ready to engage constructively, on the basis of mutual benefit and mutual respect.

Serbia's ties with Moscow

The visit comes as Serbian President Vučić continues to maintain close relations with Moscow, a factor that adds political weight to the visit in the context of future relations between Serbia and Ukraine.
