Zelenskyy: Decisive battle against Russia will move to the skies
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the Financial Times that the outcome of the war will be determined in the air, not on land or sea.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes the decisive phase of Russia's war has shifted from land and sea to the air. In an interview with the Financial Times, he stated that victory belongs to whoever is smarter. He noted that Ukraine has already stopped the enemy on land and denied them dominance at sea by using naval drones to drive away the Russian fleet. The next battlefield, he said, is the sky.
Zelenskyy emphasized that territory size matters far less and that Ukraine is already competitive in the air. He highlighted that Ukraine's ability to produce and deploy long-range drones has transformed the war, enabling strikes on military and energy facilities deep inside Russia, blunting Moscow's war machine.
The president added that if partners do not abandon Ukraine financially, if soldiers continue holding the front, and if every kilometer of Russian advance costs them tens or hundreds of thousands of personnel, the decisive struggle will take place in the skies.
