Zelenskyy: Neither US nor Russia Has Confirmed Possible Meeting with Putin in Miami
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said an idea has emerged for a meeting of the Ukrainian, US and Russian leaders in Miami during December's G20 summit. There is no confirmation yet that it will take place.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Saturday that a proposal has been raised for the leaders of Ukraine, the United States and Russia to meet in Miami, US, on the sidelines of the G20 summit in December. The G20 is a forum of the world's largest economies. The meeting has not been confirmed, and it matters because it could bring top-level trilateral talks aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.
Zelenskyy spoke while answering journalists' questions online, as reported by European Pravda. He said Washington is working to make a trilateral meeting of the three leaders possible.
Possible venues
According to Zelenskyy, the US side has put forward a proposal for a trilateral meeting. It could be held in one of the Middle Eastern countries; in his words, the United States always mentions the Emirates or Saudi Arabia. The meeting could also be held in the US during the G20 gathering, but so far neither Russia nor, accordingly, the United States has confirmed it.
He added that the meeting could also take place in a European country. Zelenskyy said Europeans are beginning to make contact on the matter and that a result should be visible a little later.
Background
US President Donald Trump does not yet know whether Russian leader Vladimir Putin will attend the G20 summit in Miami at the US invitation. In September, the Kremlin stated that a meeting with Zelenskyy in Miami was impossible and that Putin was ready to meet the Ukrainian leader only in Moscow.
