Strawberry Picking in Poland 2026: Pay Ranges from Piecework to €8.24 per Hour
Poland's strawberry season has started, with growers offering varying wages from piece rates to up to €8.24 gross per hour.

Poland's strawberry season is in full swing, and farmers across the country are actively seeking seasonal workers. Job advertisements show that wages in 2026 vary greatly depending on the region and type of work.
In the Lubliniec area, workers can earn between €0.94 and €1.18 per filled strawberry box. Many farms still use a piecework system, meaning income depends on the amount of berries picked.
Near Lublin, farms pay €0.59 per kilogram of strawberries picked. Additionally, workers doing general farm tasks can earn €5.41 gross per hour plus free accommodation. The season there runs from June to September.
Elsewhere, such as in the Rawas Mazowiecka area, work in tunnel greenhouses pays between €5.88 and €8.24 gross per hour, but accommodation is not provided. Employers are hiring for strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry picking, offering monthly salaries ranging from €941 to €1,883 gross. Job ads highlight the need for good physical fitness, and a driver's license is considered an advantage.
Some growers try to attract workers with better conditions—strawberries grow in fields covered with straw, making harvesting easier and more pleasant. However, most still use a piecework payment system.
Seasonal income can also be earned from weeding, which pays around €1,177 gross per month, with employers partially covering transport costs. Compared to the previous year, wages have increased significantly.
