The Union of Greens and Farmers (ZZS), one of the parties in Latvia's parliament, the Saeima, currently sees no grounds to change its stance on granting Latvian citizenship to Indian national Divya Kanana Vishvanatha. This was stated by Harijs Rokpelnis, head of the ZZS faction in the Saeima.
According to the ZZS representative, no new facts have been received suggesting that Vishvanatha may fail to meet the requirements of the law. The party's position on the matter therefore remains unchanged.
The source does not specify what concerns or objections were raised earlier about granting her citizenship, nor when the matter may be considered next.
