Anbernic launches store page for replacement parts for its handhelds
Anbernic has opened a dedicated store where customers can buy spare parts for its handheld gaming consoles, enabling DIY repairs.
Anbernic, known for its portable gaming devices, has unveiled a new store page focused on replacement parts. The page offers components for models ranging from the recent RG Rotate to older ones like the RG350P.
Available parts include replacement shells, screens, conductive rubber pads, joysticks, batteries, motherboards, and buttons. To order, customers must specify the exact model and color. The company warns that it will not accept claims if the device information is provided incorrectly.
While the store is live, Anbernic does not currently offer repair guides or step-by-step instructions. However, for those with some DIY skills, the new page provides a way to extend the life of already affordable devices. Prices range from $3 for a spare conductive rubber pad to $236 for a replacement motherboard for more powerful models.
This move mirrors Apple's Self Service Repair program. Previously, Anbernic customers had to go through support channels and be approved for a replacement device.
