Road situation across the country
According to figures compiled by the State Police, 107 road traffic accidents were registered in Latvia over the past 24 hours. Five people were injured and two died.
In the road traffic area, 384 administrative violation decisions were issued, 204 of them for speeding.
Two administrative violation proceedings and 15 criminal proceedings were initiated for driving under the influence of alcohol. Another two criminal proceedings were opened for driving possibly under the influence of narcotic substances.
