Bauska region swimmers debut at Latvian Youth Olympics
Swimmers from Bauska region's Children and Youth Sports School made their debut at the Latvian Youth Olympics in Valmiera, finishing 8th in the mixed relay.

On Friday, June 19, the swimming competitions of the Latvian Youth Olympics took place in Valmiera, featuring the debut of a group from the Bauska region Children and Youth Sports School (BJSS). The mixed 4×100 meter relay team consisted of Kārlis Duklavs, Nikola Veldze, Martins Ķikurs, and Monta Kalniņa. They completed the distance in 4 minutes and 52.18 seconds, securing 8th place out of 12 teams. The winning team from Ķekava region finished with a time of 4:21.3. This marked the first time Bauska BJSS swimmers participated in such a high-level event, and the experience will undoubtedly benefit their future competitions.
