Bauska Municipality in Latvia will hold an ascending-bid auction on Wednesday, 14 October, offering 15 real estate properties at various locations across the municipality. On sale are nine apartments, four undeveloped plots of land and two properties that include both land and buildings. Applications to take part must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 13 October.

Apartments

The lowest starting price, 400 euros, applies to two one-room apartments in the Vecumnieki parish property "Dzelzceļa ēka 207. km". They measure 17.8 and 18.3 square metres and are both on the ground floor. Also in Vecumnieki parish, a one-room apartment, "Zvirgzde"-5, starts at 2,500 euros, while in Vecumnieki itself a two-room apartment, "Mazrempji 4"-6, is offered for 2,600 euros.

In Taurkalne a two-room apartment will be sold from 1,200 euros, and in Pastališķi, Īslīce parish, from 1,500 euros. Three apartments are on offer in Valle: two two-room units in the building "Sili" (starting at 1,900 and 2,200 euros) and a four-room apartment at Liepu iela 11-1 for 7,400 euros. At 81.6 m², it is the largest apartment up for auction. One of the "Sili" apartments has been remodelled, so its actual layout differs from State Land Service data.

Land and buildings

In Brunava parish two plots are available at 2,000 euros each, in Cerauksts parish the plot "Vīlipu lauks" starts at 7,000 euros, and in Dāviņi parish the 3.2-hectare "Mazsilagoņi" starts at 19,500 euros.

The most expensive lot is "Ceļmalnieki" in Stelpe parish, which once housed the Stelpe parish office. It comprises 0.88 ha of land, a shed and a 217.9 m² administrative building with offices and an apartment. In Vecumnieki parish, a property with a single-storey house, listed in the documents as unfit for living, will go for a starting price of 2,500 euros.

How to take part

The auctions begin at 11 a.m. in the second-floor meeting hall of the municipal administration building at Uzvaras iela 1, Bauska. Applications go to the Customer Service Centre or can be sent electronically. For each property, bidders must pay a security deposit of 10% of the starting price plus a 20-euro registration fee. Winners must pay the remaining sum by 27 October. Plots can be viewed independently, while viewings of apartments and buildings must be arranged with the municipality's contact persons.
