The association 'Odikozāra', together with young people from Bauska region, is implementing the Erasmus+ participation project 'ReCharge'. The project runs from June 1 of this year until February 28, 2027.

The project was created by local youth concerned about the environment and nature. Its goal is to increase understanding of nature's role in mental health by involving young people in practical conservation activities. It also aims to change habits – consciously using nature to improve well-being and actively participating in environmental protection.

The project's relevance is based on a survey conducted by the team among 13- to 20-year-olds, as well as existing data on Bauska youth opinions.

In June, the project team visited the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Climate and Energy to discuss issues related to the project's goals. Preparations are underway for a visit to the European Parliament in Brussels, where participants will learn about decision-making processes and discuss using nature as a resource for youth well-being.

In August, 25 young people will travel to Augšdaugava region to the campsite 'Ozianna', an area with protected plants suitable for various outdoor activities.

The project calendar is filled with activities proposed by the surveyed youth. Young people from Bauska region are invited to join. The project youth include: Annija Treimane, Elizabete Megi, Rainers Rauls Klipa, and Kevins Siliņš.
