Belgorod region hit by rocket attack: one dead, three injured, power and water outages
Russian city of Belgorod and its region were struck by a rocket attack on the night of July 7, causing fires, power and water cuts, and casualties.

On the night of July 7, residents of Belgorod and the surrounding region reported multiple explosions. Acting Governor Alexander Shuvaiev confirmed a rocket attack, damaging an unspecified facility in Belgorod and energy infrastructure. Later, he reported three injured and one dead. Monitoring channels indicate that one of the targeted sites was the Belgorod Linear Production Management of Main Gas Pipelines (Belgorod LPMGP), a subsidiary of Gazprom Transgaz Moscow, part of the Gazprom structure. A fire broke out at the facility, which is responsible for operating main gas pipelines in the Belgorod region and ensuring reliable gas supply to consumers.
This attack follows a successful strike on June 6 by the Deep Strike unit of the Special Operations Forces on Russia's largest oil refinery in Omsk. The Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine, has frequently been targeted in the ongoing conflict. The assault caused damage to energy infrastructure, leading to intermittent electricity and water supply in parts of Belgorod and several municipalities.
