A military helicopter crash in the Czech Republic on July 23 left one person dead and four others injured. The American-made Venom helicopter, carrying a crew of five, went down at the 22nd Helicopter Aviation Base in Náměšť nad Oslavou, according to Deutsche Welle.

Following the accident, the Czech Army suspended operations of all H-1 type helicopters until the investigation is complete. Army officials stated on social media that the decision was made out of caution.

The identity of the deceased has not been released out of respect for family members. The army will not provide further information or speculate on possible causes while the investigation is ongoing.
