The Cēsis Municipality in Latvia will pay a holiday benefit in November to politically repressed persons and participants of the national resistance movement. The benefit is €100 and is granted to mark the anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia. It is intended for people whose place of residence is declared in the Cēsis Municipality.
How the payment will be made
The municipality will make the payments based on information provided by the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs. The money will be transferred to the recipient's bank account. People who do not have a bank account will receive the benefit in cash.
Who should contact the Social Service
The municipality asks people whose bank account number has changed to contact the Cēsis Municipality Social Service. The same applies to those who declared their place of residence in the Cēsis Municipality in 2026. By getting in touch, they can clarify the information needed to receive the benefit.
The benefit covers two groups of residents: politically repressed persons and members of the national resistance movement. The amount is the same for both groups, at €100.
