South Kurzeme Hunting Trophy Exhibition “Liepāja 2026” to Draw Hunters and Families in July
From July 1 to 11, the Liepāja Latvian Society House will host the regional hunting trophy exhibition “Liepāja 2026,” aimed at educating the public about hunting and serving as a regional selection for the 2027 national exhibition.

Organized by SIA “Bebra spēks,” the exhibition will take place in Liepāja for the first time, gathering hunters, nature enthusiasts, and families with children. The event will display hunting trophies obtained in the South Kurzeme region over the last three years and feature various activities, including a local producers’ market, children’s workshops, a hunting dog parade, and an interactive shooting range.
The exhibition aims to inform the public about hunting as an ecologically and economically necessary activity for regulating wild animal populations, while also collecting data on the region’s animal quality and fostering cooperation between landowners and hunters. It will serve as the regional selection for the 2027 Latvian National Hunting Trophy Exhibition.
The program includes several themed days. On July 4, a local producers’ market, children’s workshops, and an exhibition of paintings by artist Henrietta Budde will take place. July 5 features a hunting apparel presentation, a blood-trail tracking demonstration, and a seminar on moose population management. July 11 includes seminars on roe deer and red deer management, as well as a hunting dog parade in Rožu Square. From July 3 to 5 and July 10 to 11, a free interactive shooting range will be open.
The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00. Admission is €3, with free entry for children under 7. Details on submitting trophies are available on the Latvian Hunters’ Union website.
