Discussion evaluates pre-election programs: how realistic they are and what they avoid
Experts on the program 'What's Happening in Latvia?' analyzed political parties' platforms in health, education, social affairs, economy, and budget, noting which topics politicians avoid.

On July 15, the program 'What's Happening in Latvia?' hosted a discussion where experts from various fields shared their conclusions on the programs prepared by the parties competing for the 15th Saeima. They assessed the parties' proposals in health, education, social affairs, and economic sectors, as well as budget policy and promises to change the political system.
Special attention was given to the questions that parties and politicians avoided in their platforms. The discussion highlighted that some proposals, such as those about cosmodromes and a 'statesman component,' seem unrealistic, and mathematical calculations often do not align with promises. It was noted that voters should critically evaluate the programs, as they sometimes resemble Eurovision voting – emotions dominate over content.
