Egypt say Dallas police officer pushed player and team director at World Cup
Egypt's national team reported that a Dallas police officer pushed director Ibrahim Hassan and player Trezeguet as they attempted to take a photo with a fan before their match against Australia.

Egypt's national team reported that a Dallas police officer pushed their director, Ibrahim Hassan, and player Trezeguet while the two were attempting to take a photo with a fan at the team hotel in Dallas before their match. According to team media officer Mohamed Morad, a man and his son approached Hassan and Trezeguet for a photo, which the director approved. However, a security officer, identified as a Dallas police officer, intervened and pushed the fan, Trezeguet, and Hassan, even though the player and director were in their designated area. Hassan then asked the officer to treat the fan normally.
Local media reported the incident occurred on Friday. The Dallas Police Department (DPD) acknowledged a video circulating on social media showing a heated interaction involving one of its officers. In a statement, DPD said officers responded to the hotel at the request of hotel security regarding an individual without event credentials attempting to gain access. It later emerged that the individuals were not displaying credentials properly, a requirement. The situation was resolved on scene, and DPD met with team representatives to address concerns. The matter has since been resolved.
Egypt played Australia in the round of 32 on Friday in Dallas at the World Cup co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
