List of Russian athletes cleared by FIS grows to 175 names
The list of Russian athletes permitted to compete in events run by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) now has 175 names. The new additions include cross-country skier Natalia Terentyeva, the 2022 World Cup overall winner.

The list of Russian athletes allowed to take part in competitions organised by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has been expanded and now contains 175 names, according to the Norwegian broadcaster NRK. The list determines which Russian representatives may compete in events run by FIS, the governing body for winter sports such as skiing.
A well-known skier among the new names
Among the athletes added is skier Natalia Terentyeva, who was previously known by the surname Nepryaeva. In 2022 she won the World Cup overall standings, meaning she was the best performer across the whole season.
In the same year she won three medals at the Beijing Winter Olympics:
- gold in the relay;
- silver in the skiathlon, a mass-start race in which skiers change skis midway;
- bronze in the team sprint.
No World Cup starts since 2022
Terentyeva has not competed in any World Cup races since 2022. The source does not say whether or when she might return to competition now that she is on the list.
