Fury says fight against Joshua likely won't happen amid Hearn's money demands
Tyson Fury has said the long-awaited fight against Anthony Joshua will probably not take place, claiming promoter Eddie Hearn is asking for too much money. Fury voiced his frustration in a pointed Instagram post.

British boxing star Tyson Fury has expressed doubt on Instagram that his long-anticipated fight against fellow Briton Anthony Joshua will actually happen. Earlier reports suggested the heavyweight showdown could take place this autumn, with the bout reportedly set to be held in the United States to reach a wider audience.
However, differences between the US and UK tax systems have created a new obstacle. Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, said that holding the fight in the US would mean his fighter receives significantly less money than originally agreed upon under a deal for a fight in Britain.
Fury's sharp response
Fury, who has long been unafraid to needle Hearn publicly, used insulting language toward the promoter and said he doubts a contract will ever be signed, arguing that Hearn is holding out for more money. In his post, Fury remarked that the situation mirrors what happened a decade ago, when the fight also failed to materialize, and called on both Hearn and Joshua to stop avoiding the matchup. Fury added that he intends to continue his career and look for another opponent instead.
Recent form for both fighters
In his most recent bout, Anthony Joshua defeated Christian Prenga with a second-round knockout. Tyson Fury, meanwhile, recently beat 46-year-old Polish boxer Mariusz Wach. The two remain widely regarded as one of the most compelling potential matchups in British heavyweight boxing, though negotiations to make the fight happen continue to drag on without a clear resolution.
