Serrano notches 50th win, draws 3.4m TikTok views
Amanda Serrano defended her WBA and WBO featherweight titles with a majority decision over Argentina's Lucrecia Manzur in the first world title fight streamed live on TikTok, drawing 3.4 million views.

Puerto Rican boxer Amanda Serrano secured the 50th win of her career on Friday, edging Argentina's Lucrecia Manzur on a majority decision to retain her WBA and WBO featherweight belts. The bout marked the first world championship main event ever streamed live on TikTok, drawing a total of 3.4 million views on the platform.
The 37-year-old faced a tough test, as Manzur troubled her early with repeated right-hand punches. However, the Argentine tired as the contest wore on, allowing Serrano to take control from the ninth round and see out the fight comfortably. The 12-round bout, contested over two-minute rounds in Temecula, California, was scored 114-114, 116-112 and 116-112 in Serrano's favour.
Serrano fell short of the 33rd knockout that would have set a new record for women's boxing, remaining on 32 stoppages. Speaking afterward, she expressed pride at headlining the first championship fight on TikTok and praised her younger opponent's toughness, noting she had trained especially hard knowing Manzur, 10 years her junior, posed a real threat.
Looking ahead
Serrano remains among the most-watched female fighters globally. Her third fight against Ireland's Katie Taylor last year drew six million viewers on Netflix, while their 2024 rematch on the same platform surpassed 50 million views. The unified champion now hopes to break Christy Martin's record with a 33rd stoppage in what she plans as her farewell fight, to be held in Puerto Rico later this year or in early 2027.
