Rubene Beat Tallinn’s Sparta 16-2 in Latvian Women’s Floorball League
Kocēni club Rubene defeated Estonia’s Sparta 16-2 in the Elvi women’s floorball top league. Marta Lība Zameca became the 52nd player in the Latvian league’s history to reach 200 points.

In Latvia’s top women’s floorball competition, the Elvi Virslīga, Kocēni side Rubene met Tallinn (Estonia) club Sparta for the second day in a row and won 16-2. The result keeps Rubene in first place in the 2026/27 season standings.
How the game went
In the first game, the Latvian team won by a narrower 8-5. The second match was far more one-sided: Rubene led 4-0 after the first period and 9-1 after the second. Seven more goals were scored in the third period against one from the opponents. The source describes Rubene as the most decorated women’s floorball team in Latvia.
Emīlija Salaciete was the top performer for the winners, with six goals and one assist. Simona Grāpēna scored three goals and added four assists, while Ieva Jete Jansone collected four points (3+1). For Sparta, Kadre Lahtmetsa, Viktorija Virki and Kriti Rickberga each recorded one point.
Individual milestones
Marta Lība Zameca made one assist in the game, which made her the 52nd player in Latvian top-league history to reach 200 scoring points. Her tally stands at 98 goals and 102 assists.
The day before, in the first game, Simona Grāpēna earned eight points and moved up to 12th place on the all-time scoring list of the Latvian championship, overtaking Linda Līce and Gunita Kārkliņa.

Rubene has won three of its four games this season. Tallinn’s Sparta has lost all three of its games and sits at the bottom of the table.
