Air Purifier Deals: WIRED Highlights Blueair and Levoit Models for Allergy Season
Technology outlet WIRED has rounded up tested air purifiers that are currently discounted, suited to bedrooms and pet allergies. The list includes devices from Blueair, Levoit, Brondell and AirDoctor.

US technology magazine WIRED has published a roundup of tested air purifiers that are currently on sale. The outlet notes that in autumn and winter, when windows stay shut and heating devices run, dust, pet dander and other allergens build up indoors, so a purifier, especially in the bedroom, can help reduce airborne particles.
Models mentioned
The Blueair ComfortPure 3-in-1 is a small-room unit covering up to 175 square feet that combines an air purifier, a heater and a cooling fan. It has HEPA filtration, electrostatic technology, a connected app and an air quality indicator light. It is 55 percent off on Amazon, while on Shop the discount is $150 when the buyer signs in at checkout.
The Levoit Core 300-P is designed for rooms up to 219 square feet, where it exchanges the air 4.8 times per hour. Pet owners can choose specialized filters for $35, which include a nylon pre-filter for hair and fur and an activated carbon layer to absorb odors.
The Blueair Mini Restful also works as a sunrise alarm clock, nightlight and clock. It cleans a 140-square-foot room in 13 minutes at 4.8 air exchanges per hour.
The Brondell O2+ Horizon is WIRED's top pick for bedrooms and other small rooms and is currently $100 off. For large or open-plan spaces, the outlet recommends the AirDoctor Smart 5500i, which runs quietly and can clean 1,043 square feet at 4.5 air changes per hour.
All of the listed models offer HEPA filtration options, which capture airborne viruses, bacteria and respiratory droplets. The outlet adds that continuous air filtering can also ease asthma and allergy symptoms, which often worsen as temperatures fall.
