Latvian athlete Adriana Krūzmane finishes ninth in NCAA triple jump championship
Adriana Krūzmane, a University of Miami student, placed ninth in the NCAA triple jump final, while Marta Sīviņa finished 11th in the heptathlon.

Latvian track and field athlete Adriana Krūzmane, representing the University of Miami and named Bauska Municipality's 2025 Sportsperson, secured ninth place in the NCAA triple jump final on Saturday. Competing against 24 athletes, she delivered a consistent series of jumps, with five of six attempts ranging between 13.15 and 13.34 meters. Her best jump of 13.34 meters earned her ninth place, just five centimeters short of seventh. The championship was won by Clemson University's Shenti Formena with a jump of 14.24 meters.
In the heptathlon, Vanderbilt University student Marta Sīviņa finished 11th among 24 competitors after two days of events. She accumulated 5,778 points, 94 points shy of the top ten. Sīviņa performed well in the 100-meter hurdles (13.55 seconds, 1,043 points) and long jump (6.07 meters, 871 points). Her other results included 1.66 meters in high jump (806 points), 11.67 meters in shot put (639 points), 24.46 seconds in 200 meters (937 points), 34.65 meters in javelin (558 points), and 2:13.26 in 800 meters (917 points).
The heptathlon champion was Sofia Koskuljela from the University of Washington with 6,182 points.
