Power line damage halts Elron's eastbound trains from Tallinn
Overnight damage to newly built overhead power lines between Kohtla-Nõmme and Püssi has suspended Elron's Narva–Tallinn rail service for at least half a day. Passengers are being moved by replacement buses while repairs continue.

Estonian rail operator Elron announced on Thursday that eastbound train service from Tallinn has been suspended for at least half a day after newly installed overhead power lines were damaged overnight between the towns of Kohtla-Nõmme and Püssi.
Elron communications chief Kristo Mäe said the first Narva–Tallinn train of the day became stuck in that section and was unable to continue toward Tallinn. He added that affected passengers would be transported to their destinations by bus as quickly as possible.
Estonian Railways (EVR), which owns the rail infrastructure, expects the damaged power lines to be repaired by noon. Until normal train service resumes, Elron said it would keep arranging replacement bus transport as needed.
Passengers whose trains are delayed by 30 minutes or more are entitled to a refund, which can be requested via Elron's website. The company urged travelers to check its site for the latest updates and apologized for the disruption caused.
