Instagram now allows unique captions for each carousel slide
Instagram has added a long-requested feature, letting users write separate captions for every photo in a carousel post.

Instagram is rolling out a feature that many users have been waiting for: the ability to add a unique caption to each slide in a carousel post. Previously, all slides shared the same caption, which made it difficult to tell a cohesive story across multiple images.
To use the new option, simply tap the caption area and toggle the switch to enable per-slide captions. This gives users the choice to put in extra effort for more detailed storytelling. The update is being released now, but it may take about a week to reach all Instagram users worldwide.
This change builds on a previous update from a couple of years ago that doubled the maximum number of photos in a carousel from 10 to 20. With the ability to pair 20 images with 20 distinct captions, creators have even more flexibility to craft engaging narratives.
Instagram has been making several other improvements recently. The in-app camera now supports Ultra HDR and Night Sight on Android devices. Additionally, users can now personalize the algorithm and reorder posts on their grid.
