How to smooth wrinkled clothes without an iron: a bathroom steam tip
Lifestyle publication Martha Stewart suggests reducing wrinkles by hanging clothes in a bathroom while a warm shower runs. The method is less effective than an iron, and results depend on the fabric.

A wrinkled shirt or dress can spoil a carefully planned look, especially when you are in a hurry to leave home and no iron is at hand. According to the US lifestyle publication Martha Stewart, wrinkles can be reduced with a simple method that uses bathroom steam.
How to do it
Hang the garment on a hanger in the bathroom while a warm shower is running. The warm, humid air can help relax the fabric fibres, which reduces minor wrinkles. It is important that the clothes do not get wet and are not hit by a direct stream of water. Afterwards, the garment should be left to dry completely.
Limitations
The technique is not as effective as an iron or a garment steamer. The result depends on the type of fabric and how deep the wrinkles are. If a garment is very badly creased, bathroom steam alone may not be enough.
Before trying the method, it is also advisable to check the garment's care label. Extra caution is needed with delicate fabrics that require special care.
So, when travelling or when an iron is suddenly unavailable at home, the method may be worth trying to quickly improve how clothes look.
