Russia again accuses Baltic states of allowing Ukrainian drones to use their airspace

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin claimed Moscow has "confirmed data" that Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia allowed Ukrainian drones to attack Russia via their airspace. The Baltic states have denied these allegations.

In an interview with Russian state news agency RIA Novosti, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated that Moscow possesses "confirmed data" indicating that the Baltic states—Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia—permitted Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles to use their airspace for attacks on civilian infrastructure in Russia. These allegations are not new. In April, the foreign ministers of all three Baltic countries jointly declared that they had never granted permission for such use of their airspace. In May, Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service made similar claims, but Latvia and Lithuania did not confirm them and provided no evidence. There is no independent verification of Russia's latest accusations. The issue of potential airspace violations is sensitive, and the Baltic states have repeatedly emphasized their strict adherence to international law. Russia has been making such accusations for months, but no evidence has been provided to substantiate them.
