The AI-generated song "Ty moya…" ("You're my…") by musician DJ NARODNII has become unavailable on Russian streaming services, including Yandex Music, according to the news outlet Ostorozhno, Novosti. Users who try to play the track see a notice saying it is unavailable at the request of Roskomnadzor, Russia's communications regulator.

What preceded the block

In late September, Russia's Federal Agency for Youth Affairs demanded that access to the song be restricted. Over recent months the track has become popular on TikTok and Instagram. Its chorus goes "You're my scumbag, you're my pig…". The author originally posted it to mock AI-generated music, but it turned into a hit.

The creator's response

DJ NARODNII says he received no warning that the song would be taken down and learned about it when he checked the music platforms himself. According to him, Yandex Music removed five remixes along with the original.

The musician believes the track was blocked because of complaints from "certain individuals who took it personally." He disagrees with the decision and says that, by that logic, every song containing swearing would have to be blocked. In his view, anyone who watches the video and understands the context will see why the song is the way it is and why it uses those particular words. He added that some people simply cannot understand or appreciate real art, comparing it to a niche perfume with complex notes.
