Eight Killed in Russian Attacks on Ukraine on Tuesday
Russian strikes killed eight people in Ukraine on Tuesday, while G7 leaders agreed to tighten sanctions on Russian gas and oil.

Eight people were killed in Russian attacks on Ukraine on Tuesday, as G7 leaders agreed to intensify pressure on Moscow by imposing stricter sanctions on its gas and oil exports in an effort to force an end to the war.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a Russian drone strike on a car killed three people, according to regional military administration head Oleksandr Ganha. The victims included an 87-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man; the identity of the third victim is being determined.
In the city of Sloviansk, Donetsk region, shelling by Russian forces killed three more people. Additionally, drone strikes in the Kherson region left two dead and 16 wounded.
The G7 leaders' decision to impose additional sanctions is seen as an attempt to curb Russia's revenues from energy exports, which fund its military operations in Ukraine.
