Russian Attack Leaves Gap in Kyiv Residential Building
A Russian overnight attack on Kyiv with 23 ballistic missiles killed at least 19 people, and the Ukrainian Air Force admitted that none were intercepted due to a shortage of interceptor missiles.

On Sunday night, Russian forces launched their second large-scale attack on the Ukrainian capital in a week, firing 23 ballistic missiles. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, none were shot down because of a lack of interceptor missiles. The strike left a large hole in a residential building, and a survivor told the BBC she was "terrified."
President Volodymyr Zelensky said Moscow would continue hitting residential buildings as long as Patriot missiles remain in allies' stockpiles. Reports indicate at least 13 people were killed in Kyiv, with six more killed in the wider Kyiv region, bringing the total to 19.
This attack comes amid a growing shortage of air defense systems in Ukraine. Experts warn that without sufficient Western support, civilians remain increasingly vulnerable to Russian missile strikes.
