Kuldīga athletes shine at Latvian Championships
Athletes from the Kuldīga district sports school won multiple medals at the Latvian Athletics Championships in the U18, U20, and U23 age groups, also setting two district records.

Young athletes from the Kuldīga district sports school have returned from the Latvian Athletics Championships with impressive results. Competing in the U18, U20, and U23 age groups, they earned several medals, including three championship titles. The champions were Alise Robežniece, Aleksis Gailītis, and Ralfs Zazerskis.
In the U23 group, Aleksis Gailītis won both the long jump (7.46 meters) and triple jump (15.15 meters). Ralfs Zazerskis took first place in the 200 meters with a personal best of 21.68 seconds and second in the 100 meters (10.94). He also set a new district record in the 200 meters.
In the U20 group, Alise Robežniece dominated the shot put (13.06 meters) and discus throw (39.58 meters). Maksimilians Brazovskis set a new district record in the 400-meter hurdles (57.12 seconds) and finished third in that event, along with fifth in the 100 meters and seventh in the 200 meters. He also helped the boys' 4x100-meter relay team earn a bronze medal. The girls' 4x100-meter relay team (Anna Miķelsone, Nikola Demčenko, Diāna Dzintara, Beāte Buka) also won bronze. Diāna Dzintara placed third in the 800 meters and fourth in the 1500 meters. Nellija Jēkabsone finished second in discus, and Anna Miķelsone was second in pole vault with a personal best of 2.80 meters.
In the U18 group, Justs Skuruls placed fourth in both the 100 meters and triple jump, setting a personal best in the latter (14.13 meters). Many other athletes achieved personal bests and high placements, demonstrating the high level of training at the Kuldīga sports school.
