From 26 October to 10 November, people across Latvia will take part in Latvian Dialogues, a new annual tradition of public conversations on shared questions. This year, 173 dialogue circles have been registered in 32 Latvian municipalities, marking the start of the tradition.

All the circles are united by one theme: “What strengthens us and holds us together?”. Participants will look for answers to what currently gives people in Latvia a sense of security and belonging, what helps them trust others, and what keeps society together even when people think differently.

Conversations online and abroad

Some of the discussions will take place online. Dialogue circles outside Latvia will also be organised by compatriots, with events registered in Georgia and even on the Azores islands.

The source does not say who organises Latvian Dialogues, how the circles are run or where exactly they will be held, so these details remain unclear. What is known is that the focus is on community and trust, and that the events cover both many Latvian municipalities and several locations abroad.
